Essential oils in the Blend

Clary Sage - Clary Sage Essential Oil is extracted by steam distillation from the buds and leaves of the Clary Sage plant whose scientific name is Salvia Sclarea. It is an herb, believed to be a native species of Europe, which has been highly praised as a medicinal plant throughout history, particularly owing to its numerous benefits for vision and eye health. The health benefits of Clary Sage Essential Oil can be attributed to its properties as an antidepressant, anticonvulsive, antispasmodic, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, astringent, bactericidal, carminative, deodorant, digestive, emenagogue, euphoric, hypotensive, nervine, sedative, stomachic and uterine substance.

Bergamot - Bergamot is a citrus fruit whose rind is used for extracting the Bergamot Essential Oil. The scientific name of bergamot is Citrus Aurantium var. or Citrus Bergamia. It is a tropical plant, but thrives in Europe as well. Its powerful aroma makes it a popular component in msany perfumes, and it is often used as the all-important “top note”. It is derived through cold compression, opposed to the steam distillation of many other essential oils. The health benefits of Bergamot Essential Oil can be attributed to its properties as a deodorant, vulnerary, vermifuge, antibiotic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, sedative, analgesic, antidepressant, disinfectant, febrifuge, cicatrisant, and digestive substance.

Lavender - Lavender oil is extracted mostly from the flowers of the lavender plant, primarily through steam distillation. The flowers of lavender are fragrant in nature and have been used for making potpourri for centuries. Traditionally, lavender essential oil has also been used in making perfumes. The oil is very useful in aromatherapy and many aromatic preparations and combinations are made using lavender oil. The health benefits of lavender essential oil include its ability to eliminate nervous tension, relieve pain, disinfect the scalp and skin, enhance blood circulation and treat respiratory problems. The Latin name of lavender is Lavare, which means “to wash”, due to its aroma which has a particularly clean aroma.

Cypress - The Essential Oil of Cypress is obtained through steam distillation of young twigs, stems and needles. Cypress, a needle bearing tree of Coniferous and Deciduous regions, bears the scientific name of Cupressus Sempervirens. The health benefits of Cypress Essential Oil can be attributed to its properties as an astringent, antiseptic, antispasmodic, deodorant, diuretic, hemostatic, hepatic, styptic, sudorific, vasoconstricting, respiratory tonic and sedative substance.

The Diffuser Cleaner is a high purity, laboratory grade, 99% Isopropyl Alcohol Anhydrous liquid multi-purpose cleaner and solvent. It helps to cut through oil clogs, oil build-up, and residue in atomizing diffusers as well as ultrasonic diffusers and is safe to use on plastic. Diffuser Cleaner When diffusing essential oils over time, your diffuser will develop an oil buildup that potentially can prevent it from working properly. This alcohol based diffuser cleaner is a more efficient and convenient way to keep your diffuser running in tip-top condition. When to Use the Diffuser Cleaner: We recommend cleaning between oil changes and prior to storing away or traveling with your diffuser. Sticky oil clogs are the main reason diffusers end up in the repair shop. As a general rule, it’s best to use your atomizing diffusers DAILY to keep the internal tubes and straws clear of oil clogs. How to Clean Your Diffuser: Atomizing Diffusers (Waterless): Turn off diffuser. Remove the orifice reducer from the Diffuser Cleaner bottle. Screw the atomizer on to the Diffuser Cleaner bottle. Diffuse on high for a couple of minutes in a well ventilated area. Place several drops of the cleaner on a soft rag and wipe the outside of diffuser clean. Do not tip diffuser with the Diffuser Cleaner attached to the unit. Well-Style Atomizing Diffusers : Turn off diffuser. Clear the well of excess essential oil. Fill the bottom of the well with Diffuser Cleaner. Diffuse for a couple of minutes on high in a well ventilated area. Place several drops of the cleaner on a soft rag and wipe the outside of diffuser clean. Ultrasonic Diffusers (Water): Turn off diffuser. Remove excess water. Place several drops of the cleaner on the ultrasonic chip and soak the chip for a few minutes before wiping off. Wipe out the inside and outside of the diffuser with a little Diffuser Cleaner on a cloth.
